Tell us how much you love us!

From tasting our world class wines to relaxing in our pond side "bayou" tasting room, we love to hear a good story about your experience with the Three Brothers . . . what's yours?

I am new to the wine scene and my fiance Willy was so excited when I finally decided to give it a try. We made Three Brothers the last stop on our tour which was a good thing, had it been first we would never have made it to any others!! The environment, product, staff, EVERYTHING was amazing. We brag about the visit all the time and can't wait to recruit more lovers. I was wondering if you sell your products in any liquor stores in the central NY area, like maybe in a 25 mile radius of Syracuse?? I love your wines but can't always make the travel there. Thanks again for the great time, can't wait to bring the rest of the crew!!!

OWNER'S RESPONSE:
Thanks so much for the positive remarks, Jill! We think we have something very special here and are glad you think so, too! Also, welcome to the wine tasting world- it is a never-ending adventure, revealing to you "secrets of the soil" around the world- have fun with it! We are currently working on increasing our presence in liquor stores, and hopefully someday, grocery stores, in your area. I would suggest you become a fan of ours on Facebook to stay abreast of this information and all other fun that is TBW! Hope to see you again soon!

My husband and I love your winery AND brewery! We joined the TB Wine Club a few months ago, and look forward to our shipped bottles of wine and free tastings (we always make it a day trip). You have some of the most knowledgeable staff, and now that the season has slowed down and we really get a chance to talk to them, we love it even more. Please continue the amazing service to your customers, that is first thing we always rave about when spreading the TBW name!

My friends & I visit your winery twice a year-it is always a memorable experience. You have the friendliest, most knowledgable staff and the atmosphere is fabulous. Your wine is second to none. My personal favorites are "Well Hung" & "69 Ways to Have Fun". I live in Oswego, NY and have always found it frustrating that I couldn't buy it in a local liquor store. Why is that?? Thankfully, you have your holiday free shipping deal. I love to have it around for the holidays for guests or to bring a bottle as a hostess gift. When my recent order came I was SO disappointed to see that it had a screw top instead of a cork! I, like many others, collect my corks in a jar, on my wine rack. I won't be bringing a bottle, as a hostess gift, with a screw top. There are endless reasons why a good bottle of wine should have a cork in it.... I am just curious what made you make the change from a cork to no cork?

Hi Sandy
Thank you for commenting on our website!

When we made the change to stelvin closures approx. a year ago, we did it for many reasons.
1. Bagg Dare wines are all young, fresh aromatic wines. As you can see from this article, using a Stelvin is definitely suggested if you want to keep these characteristics in your wines... which we do. (http://www.luxuryweb.com/html/cork_vs__stelvintm.html)
2. We want our wines to be the same, fresh, consistent wines as they are the day we bottle them.
Here's another article arguing the pros/cons of stelvin vs. cork.
http://www.gayot.com/wine/feature/screw-caps-cork.html
3. We wanted to prevent cork taint.

I could really go on forever in this regard, but these are our major reasons. I like popping the cork on a bottle of wine as much as the next girl, but would hate to miss out on some really beautiful wines just because they aren't corked. We still have a long way to go on the stigma surrounding Stelvin Closed wines in the US, but I think if you open up your heart, there is plenty of room for both! You could bring your Stelvin closed bottle to the party and impress your pals with your newly found knowledge in this regard!

P.S. Both Bames and Andrews sell our wines in Oswego!
Thanks Again, Happy Holidays!

You guys have the BEST wine and the BEST staff on ALL of Seneca Lake! I have been to every winery, on both sides of the lake and you guys ROCK!

90 Seconds of Heaven and 69 Ways are my favs. I live in WNY and have let my local liquor stores know that they should be selling your wines!

I have been on a few wine tours in the last few years and have to say that we ALWAYS have a great experience at TBW. Our favorite is Bagg Dare. So much fun!!! We love several of your wines and was wondering if you sell any wines in the liquor stores? I was told by a local liquor store that you do sell out of a store in the Rochester area. Could you let me know which one. Would very much appreciate it. Thank You :-)

We had a great time at your winery over Halloween weekend. We were with Paulson tours and it was the highlight of the weekend! We will definetly be back. I bought some jewelry at the Passion Feet winery, and would like to know if I would be able to purchase more on line or by telephone. Thanks! :D

I went on a wine tour last weekend and had a great time at TBW. However, the Stony Lonesome building smelled HORRIBLE :-x . I sampled two wines and had to leave because the smell was completely overpowering my sense of taste. Being able to smell your wine is such a big part of the experience and it was ruined. I know I was not the only one who felt this way. I could see it in the faces of others walking through the door as they covered their noses.

The rest of the winery was amazing. I can't wait to bring my husband. He will love the brewery as he is an avid home brewer.

OWNER'S RESPONSE:
Thanks so much for visiting, Amanda - we can't wait to see you and your husband back! Just wanted to let you know about the odor you smelled. It's that time of year and you were smelling what we refer to as the "sweet smell of fermentation!" Being a farm winery, our fermentation is done in our tank room right below the tasting room at Stony. While it can be a bit offensive to some, it is similar to visiting a dairy farm, pleasant to some-par for the course to others :) But know we are busy brewing up next year's wines for your enjoyment!

My friends and I had a fabulous time at your winery yesterday. We absolutely loved Bagg Dare. All of the wines we tasted Bagg Dare were fabulous. We all bought shirts to wear Bagg Home. The dive bar atmosphere was such a pleasure. All of the staff were fun energetic and helpful. I bought my husband a bottle of Well Hung. He drank it last night saying he hoped it worked. Don't change a thing!!! Bagg Dare :D

Went on a wine tour today and was very disappointed and angry that we were unable to visit your establishment because we had a group of 17 on a bus. So if we had all been driving separate cars and driving drunk you would have accepted us. That is the most absurd thing I have ever heard of in my life. You lost out on over $200 from just our group. Think about how much you have lost on others. We usually love coming to your winery but now have no respect for it at all.

OWNERS REPLY: Angie- we do not want you driving drunk! We also do not want you on our property if you are drunk! If you arrive, by any means, drunk, we will turn you away- how can you possibly enjoy our fine wines and atmosphere in that condition? Besides, it is against the law to serve you if you are drunk- and we will not jeopardize our license. We have instituted our reservation policy (outlined on this website) due to the huge popularity of our winery, particularly on Saturdays, and our past experiences with group transportation. We want the TBW experience to be pleasant for all and have found our "limo free after 3" to be working well. No amount of money is worth a bad experience for any of our customers. We are so glad you love coming to our winery and hope that this clears things up for you.
