In 2008 War Horse Brewing Co. (then called Barley Yards) poured its first pint. The beer was contract brewed in Rochester with a dream to open an on-site brewing facility in the future. In June of 2016, the dream was realized and our state of the art brewing facility was complete. Brewing at a winery in the Finger Lakes gives us access to amazing ingredients and some of the smartest minds in fermenting. We have grown and changed a great deal throughout the years. What hasn't changed is our love of great people, great beer, and great stories.

A portion of the proceeds goes to the Infinite Hero Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting military members and their families facing mental and physical challenges. By providing access to innovative rehabilitation programs, Infinite Hero ensures that our brave men and women receive the care they deserve.
Pint It Forward
Veterans and active military can enjoy a free pint through our Pint It Forward program. This "Pay It Forward" initiative allows anyone to pre-purchase a pint for a deserving service member. Simply show your military ID to redeem your complimentary drink. It's our small way of saying thank you for your service. Each year on Veterans Day, we donate the money from unredeemed pints to our local Veterans Association. We've proudly contributed over $8,000 to support our community's heroes.
